The Ministry of Tourism has the duty to organize government affairs in the field of tourism to assist the President in organizing the state government. its function are as follows:

1. formulation and determination of policy in the field of tourism destination and tourism development, development of foreign tourism marketing, development of tourism marketing of archipelago, and development of tourism institute
2. coordination and synchronization of policy implementation in the field of tourism destination and tourism development, the development of foreign tourism marketing, the development of tourism marketing of the archipelago, and the development of tourism institutions; etc
